Patients and cases will be chosen from our own NHS practice to offer you training at the same standard as we teach our medical students 😷
You will develop your communication skills, confidence and a reflective approach to real medical cases, including breaking bad news and conflicts. This will help you with your interviews and studies at medical school 😡

You will present your findings in a presentation at the grand rounds scheduled for Friday.
Clinical Medicine
Learn how to take a clinical patient history through formal teaching provided by Dr Mannan, the undergraduate clinical tutor at the University of Manchester and UCLAN Medical Schools. Learn how to use medical diagnostic equipment to assess the patient, including blood pressure measurement, heart rate assessment, and temperature evaluation, and learn how to interpret this and manage your patient.
Explore the critical process of assessing a patient's condition to ascertain the potential severity of illness and the appropriateness of hospital admission. You will learn a substantial breadth of knowledge and skills and apply these competencies throughout the forthcoming clinical sessions.
-
Receive comprehensive instruction from a fully qualified trainer on the science of patient resuscitation, encompassing the proficient use of an automated external defibrillator. Engage in practical skill development through simulated patient scenarios and hands-on experience with simulated patients and medical life support equipment.
Acquire life support skills designed to enhance your competency in genuine emergencies. Upon completing this training, you will be conferred with an accredited qualification in life support, which you can use in real-life emergency scenarios and look great on your medical school application.
